Alanna Wielink will be joining the Robert Land Academy Academic Department after spending a year in Bravo Company as a Staff Sergeant. Before RLA, Alanna earned diplomas in teaching at Covenant Christian Teachers College and Administration at Niagara College, and she is currently adding to her resume by pursuing her degree at Athabasca University in Psychology with a specialization in adolescent behaviour. While Alanna is new to the RLA teaching staff, she has already taught for two years at the elementary level. Here at the Academy, Alanna will teach Grade 9 French and assist French in Grades 5 through 8. Outside the classroom Alanna has been very active. She was a camp director in the inaugural summer of the Niagara Adventure Camp here at the Academy. She was an integral part of NAC’s successful vision of creating a camp filled with challenging activities like rock climbing, canoeing, and long hikes. Alanna also coaches and trains the Varsity cross country team, while her love of music can be heard in the Music Club. When Alanna is not at RLA, she can be found singing at weddings, figure skating, running, or hiking.
