Edward Aoki was born on May 2, 1963. He has a BFA (with honours), MFA (painting) and MDes (theory) all from the University of Alberta. He was, as well, a recipient, in 1985, of the Ellen Battell Stoekel Fellowship, Yale University. He has taught Fine Arts courses at the University of Alberta, Brock University and Fanshaw College. Edward began his career at Robert Land Academy in 2003. He has been a Company Commander for both B and C Company. He is the Art Instructor for all grades at the academy. As well, he has supervisor duties for the evening program. Outside of the Academy, Edward Aoki has dabbled in an acting career. He played a hitman in the movie “Things I do for Money”. He earned this role because the film’s stars are his talented sons: Theodor and Maximilian Aoki.
