The Robert Land Academy Family Guild invites you to a virtual wine tasting event to meet parents, staff and other supporters of the school and enjoy Niagara wines. This event will also support the school’s major fundraising campaign for this year, to upgrade our athletic fields.
The Robert Land Academy Family Guild Wine Tasting Event features the wines of Two Sisters Vineyards in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario. Sisters Melissa Marotta-Paolicelli and Angela Marotta shared a vision to create a gorgeous Estate to visit as well as create a winery that could be a leader in producing super-premium and luxury wines in Canada. Located in the heart of the Niagara River sub-appellation, the winery and vineyards span more than130 acres.
The tasting event will feature one bottle of 2019 Unoaked Chardonnay and one bottle of 2018 Eleventh Post. Each wine box will serve two people.
The tasting will be hosted by Dieter Unruh, Sommelier Magister at Two Sisters.
Dieter has worked in various capacities in the wine industry for almost 20 years. He has designed and delivered tastings, tours and experiences during this time within the hospitality operations of numerous wineries in Niagara. Dieter has also traveled extensively and visited many of the world’s great wine regions.
Dieter became a Sommelier in 2004, and has recently attained the ISGM Sommelier Degree designation, and the title Sommelier Magister. He has also studied engineering, science, business and education at the post-secondary level. Dieter is a graduate of the ISG Teacher Education Program.
Concurrent with his other experience, Dieter has been an Instructor for the International Sommelier Guild for over a decade, teaching programs at all levels.
