Troy Krywulak
ModeratorModerating the discussion will be Troy Krywulak, the Academy’s Admissions Director. Troy has worked at the Academy for seventeen years in various roles, including Teacher, Company Commander, and Athletic Director.
Toyin Jenkins
PanellistA Mom of 2 sons, who understands the value of a good education as the foundation and entryway to a future filled with hope. From my own life experience, I understand that some children need something extra, and that helps them to launch into independence. Robert Land provides that extra for many young men.
James Paterson
PanellistWith 25 years in public service, I've had the privilege of managing teams in diverse roles, from leading an airport fire and rescue department to directing the Yukon Fire Service including 16 volunteer fire departments. I bring a down-to-earth approach to strategic planning, policy development, and fostering positive relationships. My career highlights include navigating complex challenges and collaborating on intergovernmental initiatives. With a genuine passion for public service, I strive to make a positive impact in every role I undertake. My foundation for success was built at Robert Land Academy, where I applied the values taught to us. For me, that experience and those values was the key to unlocking a fulfilling and rewarding life.
Lisa Thompson
PanellistLisa is a parent of a boy, presently in Grade 12, who has been a student at Robert Land Academy since Grade 9. For the past three years, Lisa has been the Chair of the Family Guild for Robert Land Academy.
Dr. Karen Race
PanellistDr. Karen Race is a Family Physician who has worked in Canada for over 25 years. She is the proud parent of a student in the intermediate program at Robert Land Academy.
Rob and Alexis Josephson
PanellistRob and Alexis were both born and raised on Vancouver Island and run a boutique real estate company in Victoria, BC. Their son Ryan has been attending RLA since February 2023
