Friday May 27 – Sunday May 29
Friday saw the arrival of the first alumni, who would quickly make claims to ‘the best’ accommodations in Fitzgibbon Hall. After settling in, guests made their way to the Mess Hall for dinner, then it was back to Fitz for the night.
A late breakfast in the mess at 8am was followed by the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new sign, then it was off for a tour of the academy grounds by ASM.
After a visit to stores to collect an RLA goodie bag, it was time for an afternoon of baseball between alumni, students and staff. Li Z’s team won the students’ games and the staff were victorious with a 29-3 victory against the alumni.
Baseball was quickly followed by a BBQ, making the most of the awesome weather we were so lucky to have. After dinner it was time for a campfire at Depot.
Sunday started with another great breakfast in the mess hall, then it was off to visit the brand-new rappel tower for some rock climbing and rappelling for those that were feeling brave enough. Lunch included a few overdue Baker badges for the completion of the Fall Exercise. It was then time for some last photos before saying our farewells, until next time…
