This year’s signature campaign is to upgrade the Academy’s soccer pitch and baseball diamond to support the students’ physical activity, an integral part of the RLA program, and allow us to host varsity soccer games on campus.
The soccer pitch does not currently meet the standards for secondary school sports competitions and as a result our students cannot play their home games on their home field. We want our students to reach their full potential, both in the classroom and on the sports field. Upgrading the school’s sports fields will give our students more opportunity to take part in various sports and physical activities, play on standard fields, and benefit from that home field advantage.
This will be a modular project with specific components constructed as funding allows. Along with upgrading the soccer pitch, which will be the first project completed, the plan includes upgraded baseball diamond and an upgraded running track along with some shaded seating areas.
